As the new year has rolled over, it's time to plan some epic cosplay!! I bumbled around for so long with "sewing" cosplays (I don't think I have any straight lines...), I decided to finally get some sewing lessons - I've only had 1 so far and it was so interesting, I didn't know there were so many different types of hems LOL, we're making a pencil skirt this weekend, so I'll upload some pics!  But because I'm learning to sew, I've decided to choose more sewing cosplays - not too heavy on the armour and props, but more detail on the actual outfits. I'd always seen "costumes" on the internet and in movies, but it wasn't until I attended Star Wars Celebration 2007 in London, that I saw what real cosplaying was about.  We stood in the longest line of Storm Troopers, Twi'leks, and Jedi I had ever seen.  It was too cool! When I moved back to South Africa, I concentrated on my Film career - I'm a professional Video Editor and Producer, and I've worked in the corporate and commercial space, I've even worked on a few documentaries.  2013, I found the South African Geek community; and they are just the most amazing bunch of people, I walked in timid and shy, and they welcomed me with open arms.
